Road Trip

So I am planning the big road trip. I have been ordering and down loading some vacation guides so we can pick some activities to do along the way.

Boy there is a lOT Of stuff to do between here and there!

I need more time for this one...and money!

I'm So Blond: and it's a miracle I haven't burned my house down yet

So I come dragging out of bed needing coffee and there are too many cats to count circling like I better hurry up with the darn Friskies at 5am in the dark when notice a faint glow coming from the stove.

Yup, I left a burner on all night.

I thought it was kinda odd that one pan was still hot when I washed up the after dinner dishes last night.

duh

I'm so blonde: and I lose stuff too

So I am looking for something in my wallet and realize both my Visa and AMEX are not there.
I go through all my purses,--that's a LOT of purses-- and look all on the floor of my car before giving up and calling them in as lost.
Now, when you call, the telephone robot asks you to enter the account number.
Since I do not have my cards, I cannot give this information.
I even pulled the bills and there is only XXX-XXX-4numbers on those bills.
Finally after Rosie the Robot asks about 3 times for this all important number a human came on the line to take my request.
What a hassle.
Luckily they have not been used, but where in the heck did I lose two cards from INSIDE my wallet...sigh.

So I thought these looked pretty cool and got some to try then realized they are very hard to twist and eat the filling and I don't like milk so I don't dunk cookies anyways.

Guess I better stick with the round kind..ha.

Angel was safely delivered to her new forever home over the weekend and is happy to be my Mom's little Princess.

Do not wear chain belt around 13 week old kittens.

On June 19, 1865, 2,000 federal troops arrived on Galveston Island to take possession of the state and enforce the emancipation of its slaves. This was more than 2 years after the Emancipation Proclamation had officially taken effect.

Standing on the balcony of the Ashton Villa, Major General Gordon Granger read the contents of “General Order No. 3” and as a tradition is read again on the very same spot every June 19th.

Even though we really can't afford it and I should not take the time away from my business we feel two years is long enough to go without a road trip.

So...next month we will be heading to the East Coast
to visit this trio of trouble.

Frustrating!

So I got my computer back from the computer hospital and the guy was able to save my files.
That is good.
What is not good is having all these shortcuts that used to go to programs that are not installed anymore and trying to find all these discs and nothing is updated or working right anymore.
*breath*
So basically my computer is back but it's not back, if you know what I mean.

My computer started acting funny over the weekend, followed my me trying to do some stuff , followed by my computer stopping working alltogether.

I have been needing wanting a laptop anyway so went ahead and got one.

I like it OK, but I sure hope the stuff inside the other one can be recovered.

I don't expect to see this on another network, but hey who knows.

TV: BINGO!!

ABC's National Bingo Night debuted last night.
I though it would be pretty lame, but it was actually kind of fun to print the cards and play along.
Winning cards are redeemed on line and go into drawings for prizes as well as earning smaller prizes like gift cards and such.
Host Ed Sanders is a little over the top even for a game show host, but I'll be there next friday with my cards in hand for sure.

Did you know May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month?

Chan and I went to a skin cancer free screening on Saturday to have ourselves looked over.

Although we both have a lot of moles and some of these moles are not very attractive, none of them appeared to be of any real threat.

Now, that's a good feeling.
