I got an envelope from my new employer.
Inside was a "this is not a check" check for zero dollars.
Like I need to be reminded that I have not sold anything yet..Ha.

I Hate Mopping

My kitchen floor is the worst thing to clean around here.
I wonder why Mr. Clean has not yet come up with a magic eraser mop? Wouldn't that be a great thing to have?
Until then I guess I am stuck on the floor with the little miracle foamy sponge cleaning up Whiska's juicy tuna cat food.

So I am going thru hubby's reciepts and see the Hallmark one for my 6.99 Valentine. Now, this is a pretty card, it really is but $7.00?
I spent like $2 for his.
I told him next time to just get me a 6 pack of Corona and slap a bow on it.
$7.oo well spent vs sadly wasted.
Isn't that romantic?

The Bachelor In Paris

Hour one of The Bachelor was a recap of past overnight dates and interviews with former contestants. Three couples are still together and it was fun to revisit them.
Then we were on to hour two and the much awaited overnight dates


Where's Dick Cheney when you need him?
Moana and Dr. Stork are attacked by pidgeons in Venice, but otherwise had a romantic date.
I can see them together.

Just Friends?
Both Sarah and Travis question themselves on whether the obvious friendship the two have developed can transcend into romance. I'm thinking if he really wanted a girl from his own hometown he would already be married.

Between a rock and a hard conversation
It's a day of rock climbing for Susan and the Bachelor. Travis has some tough questions for our little actress. Apparently, he didn't buy her tearful confession of love as Susan was left roseless.

The final two
I am choosing Moana, though I think Sarah is the better match.
Next week is the "Women Tell All" episode and that is always fun.

Update: the entries went the second time around and I got a thankyou note too... it's all good.

I'm so cold

I'm trying to get some work done, but my office is downstairs where there is no heat. I really need to pick up a space heater.

I peeked out side and saw this birdy, even he looks a little cold.
I feel for those in the blizzards up north at least we know our cold spell is only for a day or two.

I got these cute denim sandals, 2 pairs of boots and some even some atheltic shoes all for 80 bucks today.

Shopping: The Dump

So we are always hearing the radio commercial for this furniture place The Dump.

We saw one on our way home through H-town today and excitedly stopped to check it out.

We would love to have a new bedroom suite.
John is using the dresser he had for about 40 years and I am not kidding.

Well, they use the type of marketing that is big red tags that say "compare too" this price and "our price" kind of thing. You wonder where do they get this "compare to" number and we didn't wander around this huge showroom long before we were convinced that surely they pull this all important figure out of their a$$es.

No doubt there might be some good deals here IF you even see something you like and we didn't.

I admit it, I love this show.
Not just for the dancing, but for the outfits. How do they get those slinky dresses to fit just so like that and keep them there with no malfunctions?

I'll bet they superglue them to their butts....:)

I like it because it is uncomplicated and I always have trouble using Google for driving directions.
I was so surprised to click on there this morning and find a new
(and looks like Google's) Beta Yahoo Maps.

My head hurts.
