I was able to save both Dottie Amanda and her naked
brother from the flood surge of Hurricane Ike.
I took them to the laundry and gave them agood soapy bath. The heads kept floating and I had to
Keep pushing them back in the water to get them clean.
A guy walked by and jumped a little when he glanced in
my machine. I'm not sure WHY he was glancing
in my machine anyway but truly
the whole Laundromat experience is?

Laundromats were certainly NEVER my idea of a way to spend a day ... or a lotta money. I'm glad you SAVED them though! HURRAY! Now pony up the story!

Oh...so Chan knows the naked little brother doll's name. Here I thought he was left out...well, he was in the clothing game. Sweet dolls.
Glad you saved the memory and our lunch, though stressful about remembering everything offered at the Salado Inn was lovely. We probably won't be hungry for a good long while.
Oh yes...laundromats...well, yuck. But if you can't at home, well, they are wonderful. I'll bet you tripped out that guy who was looking in your machine. Prolly thought you had just lost it with the kids and doing the rub a dub dub thing.
LOLOLOLOLOL...I bet that guy was startled. But, I then figured you'd come back with something good if he said anything stupid.
I can just picture this...you stuffing the heads down in the machine. Too funny. I am glad to hear that some memories and good things survived!

I'm DYING laughing here imagining what that guy must have thought when he saw those faces in the washing machine! LOL
I hate that you've had to go through all this, but I'm glad you all are gradually seeing some normalcy return and hopefully it will be another 100 years before that part of the world gets hit with another Ike.
