Hurricane Season Begins Quietly

The season this year is predicted to be "average"
Of course
if a monster like this one is headed to YOUR house
statistics truly have no relevance.

Hurricane Ike

Galveston is moving along nicely but has a long way to go.
--------

As far as our own recovery efforts,
"The Cantina" is pretty much on hold due to lack of funds
but I did make some cute curtains out of a Mexican blanket.
I had enough to do both windows and
was able to use the existing the fringe from each end of the piece.

We will checking here daily for the next 6 months

Here we go!

I got that link [hurricane updates] on my sidebar in my blog....yep, here we go again. But, living on the coast is still a beautiful place to be. Y'know?

I love what you did with the blanket...and it matches the wall nicely.

Had to laugh at your Jack in the Box mini sirloin burgers....Bud sings that one. Too funny.

I know what you mean hon..your damage was awful. The hubby and I are up in Humble across from IAH and it was bad enough there as it was. Having lived thru Alicia in Webster ( all hail Colonial Gardens and Mario's Flying Pizza ) I just try not to fret too much...I leave that to our 6 pack o cats.

Be safe

I know what you mean. It has to be time for the hurricanes to go up the east coast for a change! They used to do that...ask Melli. I think she was w/o power for a week or so. There is something out there, but it is way farther north of you.

We are having earthquakes here. There have been about 4 or 5 lately and one today. Must be the end of times or something....end of Texas.

Hi PJ! Just stopping in to see what you are up to and if your blog is active. I thought this would be a good way to keep in touch now that the group message board isn't active. I see Melli and Amber Star have been by! I'll have to visit them as well. I've begun blogging again, so feel free to stop by and wave at me any time. :) - Barb from Lasting Friends

Praying no more big bad hurricanes come your way or anywhere in the country.
