On the Canal: Mosquitoes!

The mosquito killer truck finally showed up last night after what seems like all summer and now the mosquitoes are swarming us even worse than ever.

I had to run to my car this morning or be devoured.

Now I am wondering, what did they feed them?
Sugar water?

Ohhhhhhhhhhh NOOOOOO! That's not good! Things are finally cooling off enough to enjoy being OUT! Better get those trucks back again! LOL!

Make sure you have some spray with DEET. They have been bad up here and will be worse after all this rain. We spray our yard with some stuff in a blue bottle you put on the hose. It works well and lasts about a month. It is time for us to spray again, but is supposed to rain again. The patio spray is good, too. Read what it says about pets, though. I can't remember right now. Oh yes...put some oil...like cooking oil in standing water. Hubby is a purist and will only use citronella oil. It is the same. They can't get their little breathing tubes up through it. Be careful of the things. We have West Nile up here and ya'll have some really nasty stuff down around Houston.

Hmmmmm, around here, it's been so dry all summer that with the last rain storm a couple of weeks ago, they're just now showing up. But not many. For that, I'm thankful.

That mosquito drawing looks like the pickle commercial stork to me. LOL
