The roofer dropped off some samples.
We chose one called
"windswept grey"

The gifts are wrapped up. The cat sitter is set up. The suitcases are packed up and we we are headed out the door.

Lots of family celebrations topping off with Chandra's wedding this weekend.
What a neat way to end a stressful year.

Sorry to be slow with the posts.
I am very busy with work right now.

Along with my usual transferring, moving up and investor clients I have four hurricane Ike families I am working with. These folks lost their homes to storm surge. There is literally nothing left. One client said.."the house was just a house but the losing the contents broke our hearts".

It's just very humbling.

After Ike Update: The Roof

Well, we finally got the roof guy over and it is worse than we thought.
Unless I can get the insurance to pay more than the $1700 check they already sent, the Cantina may have to go on hold for awhile.

Show Her The Money!

I was in Target this afternoon and gosh there were a lot of tired and screaming kids but this one little girl really caught my attention.

She couldn't have been more 2 and was throwing a total shit fit.

"I want Mommy" "I want Mommy" "I want Mommy"

Well, I look over she appeared to be with Mommy already and my first thought was OhMyGod is that child being stolen?
Then I realized she was screaming.

"I want MONEY"

Well....Hell, don't we all?

Work Related: My Second Worst Fear Comes to Pass

I'm showing this house today and as I open the door I say.
"They didn't tell me if this is vacant or not, so let me knock first"
So,
I do knock, then retrieve the key and slowly open the door.
I see there is stuff, so I loudly announce our presence not once but THREE times.
Then,
I turn to my client and say
"one of my biggest fears is finding someone asleep in a bed"
Well,
I reach the master ahead of the clients and guess what I found?
YUP...you guessed.

Now, maybe you are wondering what my first worst greatest fear is?
So I will tell you.
It's finding a dead body in a closet.
